[Weekends have been different since Kevin has been with Andrew and Neil and now that they're sharing the same bed, Andrew expects it to be even more different. Mainly, getting up has been harder, because Kevin never really wants to get his ass out of bed once he's in it, and this both amuses and frustrates Andrew- he's not entirely sure why. It's not like he cares if they make it to class or practice.
Andrew is always awake first, because he needs to be, but sometimes he thinks Neil wakes up before him and just waits for him to wake up before opening his eyes. It sounds like one of those stupid things Neil would do for him, to make him feel safer (and it works), but more often than not, Andrew is just too light of a sleeper to stay sleeping for too long.
This Saturday, he really is the first one awake, Neil sleeping next to him, curled into Kevin's side. Kevin is snoring softly (okay, maybe it's just heavy breathing but Andrew will swear on everything that it's snoring), his limbs sprawled out everywhere, one arm under Neil's neck, reaching out to almost touch Andrew's shoulder, the other above his head. One day, Kevin is going to end up on the floor, and Andrew won't feel bad about it. But today he seems firmly planted in bed and Andrew watches them sleep. He can do all the staring he wants and not get called out for it. It's images like these he wants to keep in his head so he has something to focus on when things get bad. He has something real to come back to, though he's not sure he deserves any of this at all.
It's when those thoughts start filtering in, that Neil stirs, turning from Kevin a bit and cracking his eyes open to look at Andrew. Neil gives him a small, sleepy smile when he sees that Andrew is awake, just like he always does and just like always, Andrew thinks it's horribly unfair and stupid that Neil could look this good as soon as he opens his eyes]
Morning.
[Neil says to him quietly after what what Andrew can tell is Neil quickly assessing to see if Andrew is in an okay place, if he had any nightmares or is unusually tense. Andrew doesn't return the greeting, but he reaches out and brushes his fingers through Neil's messy locks. Neil's smile grows wider and then he turns his head to look at Kevin again]
He snores.
[Andrew wants to make sure Neil knows that, and Neil laughs softly and shakes his head. ]
No he doesn't.
[Andrew lets out a soft huff, but tugs Neil forward and kisses him, because all these laughs and smiles so early in the morning, they're too good. Kevin's hand is between them, but Neil pulls it down a little so they can kiss easier, but he keeps his hand in Kevin's, curling his fingers around his]

But after Championships is okay? I don't think so.
Kevin, I'm picturing you with bunny ears now too. Not so bad.
no subject
[He rolls his eyes when Kevin brings up death and Championships]
Of course you have to bring that into it. No wonder they gossip about you in the group chat.
[He looks at Kevin, tilting his head]
Do you have that app?
no subject
[Hardly any, Neil knows it. He just likes to talk about them]
Why do they talk about you when they know you're reading everything?
[Seems rude! Then again, he knows none of them really have all that much tact.
He pulls into the lot of the mall, searching for a good spot, shaking his head when Kevin hands his phone to Andrew]
Uh oh.
no subject
[His eyes dart back over to Kevin's hand in Neil's hair. He likes that a lot]
I would not care either. They don't know a single thing.
[He snags Kevin's phone and opens the app, checking it out. He tilts the screen so he can take a picture of Kevin and quickly figures out how to use the filters, putting bunny ears on Kevin. Once Neil parks the car, he holds the phone out in front of Neil's face to show him and Neil laughs one of those real good laughs that makes Andrew's skin tingle.
Definitely worth it.]
no subject
[He still doesn't think it will happen!
Neil will take Kevin's hand in his hair for as long as he can get, he likes every second of it.]
I would probably care. Just a little.
[he can't stop laughing. It's the funniest/cutest thing he's ever seen.]
Oh my god, Andrew. Show him! Kevin, you need a carrot.
[He's still laughing when Andrew pulls the phone back, saves the picture, then shows Kevin]

[He doubts their team would say the same things about Neil that they would say about Kevin and he doesn't like that they talk shit about Kevin either and wants to stab all of them for it from time to time. Even though he probably contributes every once in a while.
This, though, he wasn't doing to be mean or to show Kevin worse than what he's seen. He thinks it's very amusing and is glad that Neil is laughing.]
Maybe I will download that. Just to see you as a bunny every single day.
[He lets Kevin take the phone back and gets out of the car]

[Neil knows they'll probably ask a lot of things, but like Kevin said before, he doesn't have to say or do anything he doesn't want to. But maybe group chatting will be some good bonding. He'd call them out for talking shit about Kevin as well. Even if they weren't together, he wouldn't want to see that.
He doesn't want Kevin to be offended by the photo, so it's good he doesn't. He thinks it's great. He might have to check this app out as well. He can't wait to see Andrew in bunny ears.... and he realizes this is something he would have disliked last year. He would have thought it was pointless, silly and not something he'd want to spend his time doing,
but now? Maybe it's okay that he likes it. Maybe it means improvement.]
A furry fetish? Wait... what is that?
no subject
[Andrew knows that Kevin doesn't need his protection anymore, but he'll give it anyway because that's what he does and he wants to do it.
Is this progress? Andrew would probably deny it, but it might be. It could be.]
Keep it up and I will send your photos to actual furry fetishists.
[He is not going to be the one to explain this to Neil! No thank you.
Andrew walks to the mall with them, side eying them both. He feels pretty decent as well. He feels alright. That's definitely progress]
no subject
[He suddenly has a feeling that he really doesn't want to know what this is! But it's better than finding out from the internet most definitely. Or Nicky. Nicky always tries to explain all these things to Neil that he has no idea about.
When Kevin explains, he slows down a bit, his eyes going slightly wide.
You mean like our mascot? Are you messing with me?
no subject
[Yeah, he said it.
Andrew rolls his eyes and walks ahead when Kevin starts explaining. He's not listening to this! He yanks the door open to head inside, not holding it for either of them]
no subject
[Neil shakes his head]
No, no. I'm not gonna check for myself. I have a feeling that would end up pretty bad. That's gonna be one of those things none of us ever tries.
[He follows quickly after Andrew, heading into the store with Kevin. Andrew is just standing there, arms crossed, waiting for them]
So where's the phone place?
no subject
[They both get a look. This is the worst conversation they've ever had.
He turns and keeps walking, heading for the escalators.]
If we see something else good we can stop along the way.
no subject
[He rides the escalator backwards, looking down at the two of them]
Waffle House was breakfast. Besides, I was not thinking about ice cream.
